Large Satsuma vase
A large satsuma earthenware vase, the ovoid body applied with lion mask and tongue handles, enamelled and gilt with panels of wagons, one amongst pine trees, a ho-o on the roof, the other amongst maple trees, the sides with chrysanthemums and water plants, the shoulder and rims with formal borders.
