Yamaguchi Kazuteru (born 1876)

A silver vase of baluster form, worked in relief with ducks on a rocky outcrop on the banks of a fast flowing river or in flight overhead.

Yamaguchi Kazuteru was born in Gifu prefecture and in 1888 moved to Tokyo. He became a pupil of Sato Kazuhide (1855-1925) in 1894 and later studied under Kagawa Katsuhiro (1853-1917) becoming a court artist.
