A wood tray carved from a single piece with scalloped rims and bracket feet finely carved with the sixteen arhats each with their respective attributes beneath an archaic inscription.
Signed Soko koku with seal Toshiyama.
Length 36.5cm.
Dated 1923.
With original double wood box with two covers inscribed Juroku rakan no zu, kobon (incense tray with the design of sixteen arhats), Kojo Toraku Ashigane nite (at Kojo in Toraku Ashigane), Soko koku (carved by Soko), Gado saku (made by Gado).
