A lacquered silver koro in the form of a bird cage, the body delicately worked in gold togidashi with three quails, the base with bush clover (hagi), the cover with a carved silver net over the top, the bars on the side in silver, set on three shaped feet worked in translucent enamel with stylised ho-o and flowers.
Unsigned.
Height 10.5cm.
Circa 1880.
Meiji period.
With laquered wood box.
